The National Company for Agricultural Services has completed the development works at the International Horse Quarantine in Al-Janadriyah, recognized as the primary destination for completing all horse quarantine procedures in Saudi Arabia. The quarantine services include issuing horse export certificates, import, export, and transit permits for horses across the Kingdom, as well as supervision of temporary quarantine for horses participating in international championships and competitions held in the country.

The Quarantine Executive Director, Mr. Mohammed Al-Rajban, stated that the development project aligns with the company’s strategy to enhance service quality and improve operational efficiency. The development works included upgrading the administration building infrastructure, establishing a dedicated blood sample unit, constructing a water desalination station, renovating and equipping stables and warehouses, and implementing an inventory management system. Additionally, the company established specialized training arenas and hospitality rooms for horse companions, and improved the monitoring and internal follow-up systems, including continuous veterinary oversight of horses in the stables.

The International Horse Quarantine is a leading center attracting both local and international attention, having hosted visits from educational institutions and global organizations, notably a delegation from the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).

It is worth noting that the Al-Janadriyah International Horse Quarantine is one of the quarantines entrusted to the company by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, and the company aims, through its development, to implement international standards that ensure a fully healthy environment for the horse
