National Agricultural Services Company Commences Operations to Receive Hajj 1446 AH Shipments

29 Oct 2025

The National Agricultural Services Company (NASC) has commenced its operations for the Hajj 1446 AH season by issuing livestock import permits to meet local market needs, in addition to handling shipments under the Kingdom’s Project for Utilizing Hadi and Sacrificial Animals. The company also receives and clears animal shipments entering the Kingdom after verifying their safety and compliance with approved health requirements, according to the Quarantine Procedures Manual.

Animal and plant shipments are subject to several quarantine procedures, including verification of documents and health certificates, visual inspection, diagnostic tests, and laboratory analysis of samples, followed by the clearance of shipments upon confirming compliance with all conditions and regulations.

NASC receives animal and plant shipments at several main quarantine centers, including Jeddah Islamic Port Quarantine, King Abdulaziz International Airport Quarantine, King Abdullah Port in Rabigh Quarantine, Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Airport Quarantine, as well as Al-Khumrah Quarantine and other supporting quarantine centers.

It is worth noting that the company’s preparations for the Hajj season follow a pre-designed operational plan to ensure efficient provision of services mandated by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. The plan includes value-added services such as pre-scheduled quarantine appointments and several fast-track services aimed at speeding up procedures and facilitating the customer journey.
